On August 6, 1945 the United States showed the world the results of their secret Manhattan Project, and the Japanese city of Hiroshima was destroyed with a cataclysm of fire by a pair of three-hundred-ton dragons they hatched, grew, and trained in the desert. With the unstoppable power of dragons on our side, World War 2 came to a quick end. Unfortunately it wasn’t long until the communist Soviets got their hands on dragon eggs and birthed their own arsenal of dragons. Now it’s 2025, the Cold War is still raging, the world is on the brink, and America’s best defense is still its dragons.

Fel'annár is now a Shirán warrior and must fly south for his final training as a war dragon, under the auspices of General Ortalan. Travelling with old friends he can't remember, he must learn the ways of war against the revenant demigod Arzen. But the road to his new life proves more grueling than he could ever have anticipated.
