  • “The Roaring Lion and the God of All Grace” | 1 Peter 5 Vs 8-14 - Living Hope
    Jun 28 2026
In this sermon from 1 Peter 5 Vs 8-14, Peter closes his letter by reminding suffering Christians to stay sober-minded, watchful, and steadfast. The Christian life is lived in the presence of a real enemy, but Satan is not the final focus. The devil may prowl and roar, but the God of all grace restores, establishes, strengthens, and settles His people. Peter calls believers to know their enemy without fearing him, resist him by standing firm in the faith, and trust the God who has called them to eternal glory in Christ Jesus. The lion is real, but God has the final word.

  • “Clothed With Humility” | 1 Peter 5 Vs 5-7 - Living Hope
    Jun 21 2026
In this message from 1 Peter 5 Vs 5-7, we look at Peter’s call for believers to live with humility in every area of life. In a culture that celebrates pride and self-promotion, God calls His people to submit to His design, serve one another, and trust His care. We’ll see how humility shapes our relationships within the church, our relationship with God, and our ability to surrender our worries to Him. As we learn to clothe ourselves with humility, we discover the grace, strength, and peace that come from trusting in God's perfect timing and faithful care.

  • “Sheep Need Shepherds” | 1 Peter 5 Vs 1-4 - Living Hope
    Jun 14 2026
As Peter closes his first letter, he turns to the elders of the church and calls them to shepherd the flock of God. This message reminds us that God’s people are like sheep: vulnerable, dependent, and prone to wander. Because of that, Christ gives shepherds to His church to care, feed, protect, guide, and watch over His people. But Peter also shows that shepherds must lead with humility. They are not owners of the flock, but stewards entrusted with people who belong to God. Elders are called to serve willingly, eagerly, and by example, not through force, greed, or control. Above all, this passage points us to Jesus, the Chief Shepherd. Human leaders may fail, but Christ never fails His flock. He suffered first, He will return in glory, and He promises an unfading crown to those who faithfully serve Him.
