God doesn’t get smaller, but our view of Him can. When that happens, anxiety feels louder, problems feel heavier, and faith turns into survival mode. We kick off a new series on YHWH with one aim: clear away the haze and see God as He really is, not as “a little better than us,” but as mind-blowingly different.
We go to Exodus 3 where God speaks from the burning bush and gives Moses His covenant name: “I AM WHO I AM.” Yahweh is eternally present, unique, and the sustainer of all things. That name isn’t trivia for Bible nerds, it’s a lifeline for everyday life. When the news is chaotic and your personal world feels unstable, Yahweh is not refreshing a feed in panic. He reigns unshaken, and His steadiness can become yours.
Then we step into Isaiah 6, a scene so holy it shakes the room. Isaiah’s honest response is fear and unworthiness, but God’s holiness doesn’t end in shame. It leads to cleansing, forgiveness, and a new kind of confidence that can finally say, “Here I am, send me.” We also share a simple practice that hits home: breathe slowly and remember the nearness of Yahweh, even in the middle of stress, grief, or conflict.
