  • Nerella Chauvin - Happiness is Waking Up Each Day
    Jan 30 2026

On today's podcast I chatted with Occupational Therapist, Nerella Chauvin who lives just outside Budapest in Hungary with her family.

This busy career professional who was running her own successful practice turned 50 last summer and suddenly her life was turned upside down.

She lay on the bed with a cup of coffee and started checking some emails - when she woke after what felt like a nap, she had a concerned audience at the foot of her bed. She had a seizure and had just come around.

Tests diagnosed that not only did she have Epilepsy but she also had a condition called Organic Amnestic Syndrome, which causes memory loss.

This occupational therapist who had specialised in helping people with epilepsy was now suddenly the patient who could no longer work or drive and the simplest of life tasks carried many practical risks.

While the doctors are still experimenting with drugs to stabilise her condition Nerella has had to learn how to live again and she does this through a new lens; "Happiness is Waking up" she says.

Your health is everything, and we need to appreciate it

  • Ellie - Communicating with Animals and the Spirit World
    Jan 24 2026

On part two of a two part podcast I welcome back the very lovely Ellie, founder of Unbridling the Soul.

Ellie tells us about the dog Max and what she had to do to help return him to normal having discovered what the problem was after talking to him.

She chats about her ability to communicate with animals and the spirit world and how this is used in her work to heal people and animals.

She speaks in detail about her range of services which are offered both in person and remotely and she urges all of us to be more curious about ourselves, to scratch that itch and discover what might be lurking deep inside us.

Ellie helped our beloved dog Bert who very sadly passed away last October and broke our hearts.

  • Ellie - Healing through Animals and Ghostbusting!
    Jan 17 2026

On today's podcast I have a very different conversation with Ellie the founder of Unbridling the Soul in West Cork.

The very lovely Ellie provides a very unusual range of healing services both in person and remotely, but not via the Zoom or Microsoft Teams variety.

I met with her at her beautiful home in idyllic West Cork at the foot of Mount Gabriel which she shares with her daughter and some horses that she uses as part of her work.

Ellie chats about her early life and how this brought about an extremely strong connection to animals, which has continued to this day. As well as developing the ability to communicate with animals she also has the ability to see and communicate with the spirits that surround us.

Following her curiosity and exploring these unusual gifts led her away from an early career as a chef to founding her own business that helps people and animals who may be in some distress.

To better understand what she does she shares a very unusual story about a dog called Max and the spirits that were disturbed when the house where he lived was renovated.
