In this deeply personal and completely unfiltered episode of Why Am I Still Single?, I take you inside a dream that has been following me since April 2022.

Not a dream about success. Not a dream about love. A dream about a baby. My baby. A girl with my face and no teeth, crying in my arms, at a filling station, surrounded by bags of clothes, while I stand there confused and stranded, waiting for a ride that never comes.

The dream has been visiting me once or twice a month for four years. And every single time, I wake up terrified. Because this is 2026. The year I kept seeing on the signs.

I am not married. I do not have a girlfriend. And I have never wanted to be a baby daddy.

This episode is for everyone who has ever received a message they were not ready for, from a source they could not explain. If you have ever had a dream that felt too specific to ignore but too strange to explain, you will feel every single minute of this one.

Because 2026 is here. And the dream is still coming.

What I did not expect was betrayal. Friendship betrayal. The kind that makes you question why you even bother having friends in the first place.

Because on the day I was supposed to be celebrated, the people who were supposed to show up had other plans. And by "other plans," I mean they showed up in ways that will make you laugh first, then shake your head, then send this episode to your own friends as a warning.

This episode is for everyone who has ever organised something for themselves, trusted the wrong people with it, and ended up more exhausted than celebrated. If you have ever smiled through a birthday while dying inside, you will feel every single minute of this one.

Because Lagos does not care that it is your birthday. And apparently, neither do some people.

In this hilarious, awkward, and absolutely chaotic episode of Why Am I Still Single?, I share the unbelievable story of how a simple Valentine's Day date turned into a 30-minute wardrobe nightmare. What was supposed to be a romantic home date with Netflix, jollof rice, and maybe even "the do" quickly spiralled into hiding like a criminal, facing a surprise law examination, and nearly getting caught by Nigerian parents who weren't supposed to be home.

From meeting Precious at a Unilag theatre play to building romantic chemistry over weeks to her parents showing up unannounced on Valentine's Day to me being shoved into a wardrobe praying for my life to Precious suggesting I jump out the window to her father interrogating me about constitutional law topics I knew NOTHING about. This episode is packed with panic, lies, and the kind of Valentine's stress only Lagos can provide.

But the real question? How did I go from "Netflix and chill" to "Fundamental Human Procedures" and running errands on Valentine's Day?

The craziest part? I was sick that morning but drove all the way because of love. And after surviving the wardrobe, the interrogation, and the errands, Precious revealed she hadn't even told her parents she broke up with her ex. So I suffered for a relationship that didn't technically exist in her parents' eyes.

If you've ever hidden in a wardrobe to avoid parents, lied about being a law student, or realised you drove across Lagos while sick for absolutely nothing, this episode will have you laughing and cringing from start to finish.
