Pallagrello Bianco is an indigenous white grape varietal to Campagna. It has been around since the 1700s and is linked to important historical figures and events over the centuries. Fun fact, it was King Ferdinand's favorite grape. When the phylloxera spread happened around the 1860s nearly wiping out two thirds of the European vineyards, this grape varietal was thought to be extinct until it popped back up in the 1990s.
This specific wine is from a vineyard located in Terre del Volturno in the Campagna region. Today I open this crispy guy up and give you some tasting notes and thoughts on the wine. I hope you guys enjoy this one.
Cheers!
