• It's Not Easy Being Black, Gold and White Right Now
    May 17 2026
It's not easy being green, well, we reckon sometimes it's harder being our famous colours!

The Wests Tigers slumped to a third straight loss at the weekend, this time outclassed by Manly in Magic Round by 46-18.

In a team full of guys that try hard, but just don't have the size, speed, and class of the guys they are deputising for, Manly probably outplayed the Tigers in every aspect.

On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel, Declan, and Josh put the game under the microscope.

Some of the main talking points across this edition of the podcast also include:
    • Does Jarome Luai deserve some of the harsh criticism he's been copping?
    • Madden injured? Who comes into the halves?
    • Herbert suspended, who plays centre?
    • How much did we miss Alex Twal?
    • Are there any other fullback options other than Mason?
    • Do we now go to market for a centre with Taylan May gone for the year?
Of course, we also share our own 'One Word' submissions, and all those received from members of the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum.

Keep your chin up, Wests Tigers fans, we get a much-needed week off and have some classy players on the cusp of an NRL return.

  • Is this the Wests Tigers Slip 'N' Slide?
    May 11 2026
Well, it happened again. Wests Tigers managed to help a struggling rival find some form, and in the meantime, our promising start to the season is starting to look shaky. Sure, we're missing some of our best players, but are we on that traditional slip 'N' slide down the ladder to our customary "also ran" level?

On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel, Nick, and Josh take a look at whether the two heavy losses in the last two weeks spell the end, or is this just a dip before a major correction?

There's a review of the Wests Tigers' performance against the Storm, including a small handful of positives and passmarks from the game.

Some players, though, despite probably trying hard, come in for a bit of scrutiny. As does the referee, who we believe had a particularly poor performance on Sunday afternoon.

Then there's a little bit of a look ahead at the possible line-up for this weekend's Manly game. The boys look at whether Benji Marshall should opt to roll the dice and make some changes, including potentially trying to revert to some strategies that were working for us earlier in the season.

Naturally, there's also a healthy list of well-thought-out 'One Word' submissions from the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum too.

Speaking of the forum, we'd love to see you interacting and having your say there, so please feel free to join up and get involved.

It's a tough time (again) to be a Wests Tiger, but let's stick together and hope the good times return real soon.

We kick things off by welcoming Joel, Josh & Aaron before diving straight into the big one - Jahream Bula commits until 2030. What it means for the future of the club, and why this deal feels different. What a roller coaster of emotions it has been for Wests Tigers fans in recent weeks!

We also give credit where it’s due after a strong response from the club following the Luai-to-Chiefs news — is this a sign things are finally shifting behind the scenes?

Then it’s all about the next generation. The Fainu brothers are front and centre with reports that the club is working to lock them all in long-term. Is this the foundation we’ve been waiting for?

Of course… it wouldn’t be a Tigers season without an injury crisis! We break down the latest hits, what it means for the run ahead, and how the team can survive the next month.

Plus: “50 is the new 30” — are blowout scores just the new normal? Buy, Sell, Hold (Leniu, Api, Top 8 hopes).

  • Was the Sharks Disaster the Start of the Wests Tigers Slide?
    May 4 2026
Wests Tigers' 2026 season is at a key juncture. Are we slip-slidin' down the ladder, or was Sunday afternoon a bump in the road? Succumbing 52-10 against a Sharks team that has been struggling for form, Wests Tigers fans have every right to feel dejected.

But, with several key men out, or failing even to finish that game through injury, are things as bad as they seem? Was it a true reflection of our team?

On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel, Josh, and Nick try to find some answers from a very lamentable afternoon in the shire.

Some of the main talking points include the numerous errors, the poor defensive reads, and the Wests Tigers' lack of physical presence and creative flair. Of course, the question is also asked - how much did the Luai contract talk last week take effect?

Can some positional changes this week get us back on track? Is it time to call on some talented youngsters? Will Benji Marshall be conservative with the side he names to take on the Storm?

We try to look at some options to get our side up again.

There's also discussion about the future of Jeral Skelton with talk he might be getting off the bus soon and joining the Eels.

Watch or listen to this edition of the podcast for an interesting array of 'One Word' submissions from the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum as well.

We're all feeling it, Wests Tigers fans, but let's try and keep our chin up and give the struggling Storm a real game on Sunday afternoon!

  • Wests Tigers Podcast Take Positive Attitude to Luai News
    Apr 29 2026
Yes, it's a bit disappointing, but surely freeing up a heap of cap space can only be good news for Wests Tigers? That's the basic position we tend to agree upon on this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, following the news that Jarome Luai would link with PNG in 2028.

With Nick in the host's seat, Joel, Josh, and guest panelist Aaron discuss all the many factors surrounding the exit of one of our skippers at the end of next season. And there's a prediction that another Wests Tigers player may head to the new team, and that isn't Sunia Turuva.

Have an opinion on the Luai situation? Be sure to have your say either in the comments or on the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum. Also on this edition of the podcast, we talk about the Sharks' game this Sunday at Cronulla.

Overall, we've had a pretty good run against Cronulla, but in recent seasons, they've been up, and we've been down. So what can we expect on Sunday afternoon? Especially with our boys missing some key players.

Check out our thoughts on where the game will be won and lost, and catch our fearless (mostly optimistic) predictions. It's been a difficult week to be a Wests Tigers fan, but regardless, we hope you enjoy this big mid-week edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast.

  • Wests Tigers Squeeze Out Green Machine at Leichhardt
    Apr 26 2026
The Wests Tigers racked up their fifth win of the season on Thursday night, beating the Raiders 33-14 in front of just over 17,000 fans. In what was another memorable game for the club, the Tigers didn't concede a point with all thirteen men on the field, only a sin-bin to Api Koroisau gave Canberra a chance.

On this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast, Joel, Jordan, and Declan are joined by Mac from the Wests Tigers Faithful podcast to discuss the big win.

But, there's also some breaking news that dominates the conversation - the potential loss of Jarome Luai to the new PNG franchise in 2028. Our skipper has visited the new team's facilities, and he could be making a big decision in the coming days.

Is this a tragedy for Wests Tigers? Or, could it actually be a blessing? Both sides of the argument are put forward in our discussions about this still-developing story. As always, be sure to have your say on this hot topic on the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum.

Naturally, there's plenty of discussion about the game against the Raiders, including the impressive goal-line defence shown by our boys (well, when we had 13 on 13!). Api's potential suspension also falls under the microscope with Mac predicting Benji Marshall might spring a surprise move if he isn't available against the Sharks.

We also talk fullback, if Jahream Bula isn't right to go this week. And Joel decides to do something both careless and reckless, tune in or download to find out more.

We hope you enjoy this edition of the Wests Tigers Podcast. If you're catching the pod on YouTube, we'd really love it if you could hit 'Subscribe'!

Catch you mid-week, looking forward to the big Sunday afternoon clash with the gummy Sharks.

We kick things off with some classic clashes between the two sides:
    • The freezing 2000 snow game in Canberra
    • The 2010 finals thriller (yes… that Croker miss!)
    • The brutal 56-10 loss at Leichhardt in 2022
Plus, the incredible Benji-era winning streak over the Raiders. We also take a quick look at the ladder with the Tigers flying in 3rd, while the Raiders sit back in 13th. Game preview time: Head-to-head history, Recent form (Raiders building, Tigers bouncing back?), Team list changes and score predictions from the boys.
