We were reminded that faithfulness to God doesn’t protect us from disappointment, but it does guarantee God’s presence within it. Joseph’s story points us to Jesus, who steps into our suffering and invites us to trust the Father, even when we have to pray, “Not my will, but yours.”

    From Luke 2:22–35, we looked at Simeon’s song and his confident hope in a faithful, promise-keeping God. His hope wasn’t in a perfect season, but in the God who brings comfort and deliverance through Jesus. Christmas doesn’t meet us in an idealised moment, but in the real life we’re living. What we truly need isn’t Christmas every day, but Christ every day—the Light of the world who comes alongside us with compassion, power, and peace.

    We looked at Zechariah’s song in Luke 1:68–79, which reminds us that God saves, keeps His promises, and brings new life through Jesus. Unlike the fragile love in the song, God’s love never fails. Christmas invites us to trust Him afresh and respond to His unconditional love.
