  • EP24 - Robin Latham: Activist + Community Organizer
    May 26 2026

In this episode of Waves , Alexis Leiva sits down with longtime Sonoma County activist and community organizer Robin Latham for a heartfelt conversation about peace work, political activism, alternative culture, and the power of community.

What begins as a chance meeting after a film at the Rialto Theater in Sebastopol unfolds into a rich exploration of Robin’s decades-long journey through anti-war organizing, environmental activism, collective living and grassroots movements in Northern California. Together, they reflect on the cultural legacy of the 1960s in Sonoma County, the importance of making “good trouble,” and the deeply human connections that sustain meaningful change.

The conversation also dives into Robin’s formative experiences living in Kenya as a teenager, traveling through India and Asia, navigating illness and caregiving, and finding resilience through activism and chosen community.

Alexis and Robin explore themes of cultural identity, simplicity, compassion, spirituality, feminism, health sovereignty and the beauty of collaborative living. Woven throughout the episode is a shared love for Sebastopol and the unique spirit of creativity, openness and mutual support that defines the region. This is an intimate and inspiring dialogue about what it means to live with purpose, stay engaged in the world, and continue making waves with compassion, courage and connection.

  • EP20 - SURRENDER THERAPY (Healing vs Letting Go)
    Nov 1 2025

"I'm codependent with the pain of this world! Why?"

A short podcast on the idea of Surrender as a means to Wholeness. Recorded this right after a lit therapy session where I had an AHA! moment...

Life always brings a mix of pain and peace, but not all suffering is the same. There’s the kind we create ourselves — the patterns and habits that feel like shooting ourselves in the foot. And then there’s the honest, noble discomfort of navigating life while trying to avoid unnecessary harm.

I’ve realized healing isn’t always another ritual, course, or breakthrough — sometimes it’s simply stopping the behaviors or releasing unhealthy/unkind perceptions of life or self that hurt us in the first place. The most powerful healing can be choosing not to create new wounds. When you do that, you free yourself from the “addiction to healing” that comes from constantly fixing the damage of self-sabotage.

  • EP17 - Justin Leslie and the Quest for Truth
    Jan 23 2025

A truly riveting conversation with Justin Leslie, a former Pfizer scientist turned whistleblower. Justin candidly shares his experience infiltrating the pharmaceutical giant, detailing his initial skepticism and the challenges he faced while uncovering and documenting disturbing truths.

We delve into the complexities of navigating a world awash in misinformation, fake news, and "conspiracy theories,” some of which are anything but theoretical. He also goes into great detail about the journalistic deceit and betrayal by the leader of Project Veritas, an alternative news organization that Justin hoped would share his shocking exposé with the world.

Justin's journey highlights the difficulty of discerning truth from deception and the importance of maintaining hope in the face of global corruption and manipulation. Ultimately, confronting the harsh reality that deeply held beliefs might be false, and that many global organizations are built on a foundation of greed and lies, is a crucial step towards personal and societal growth.
