An alternative rock artist named Kami Kehoe popped up on my social feed fairly recently. I enjoyed what I heard and began the process of becoming a fan of her music. About a week ago I really started to dive into Kami's releases from the last couple of years, in addition to some music videos and content based around her work. Here I've returned mostly with thoughts on the 4 songs I enjoy the most, plus some foundational info about where Kami seems to currently be at in her musical story.

This time for Shuffled Liked Songs, we dive into a 1999 gem in "Outside" (Family Values Live Version) by Aaron Lewis of Staind feat. Fred Durst. This is a performance that really put Aaron and Staind on the map as far as I can tell. With just Aaron, his acoustic guitar, and Fred playing a supporting role... This version of "Outside" became legendary. And to this day, "Outside" is a mainstay in Staind's live setlists.

And that he does on this song. "Keys 2 the City" can easily be the soundtrack to your workout, to your work day, really in any scenario where you are puttin' in work. Fueled by a hook that displays a strong melodic Hip Hop/R&B blend, Nipsey talks about how it feels to be on top and enjoying the benefits of success. Introducing a segment called "Shuffled Liked Songs". For this segment I will shuffle through my liked/saved songs and give a summary of my thoughts and opinions on the song that pops up in shuffle mode. 1st up is Ella Mai with a great assist from Latto on "Didn't Say". On the song Ella and Latto voice their frustrations with relationships and romantic situations that don't quite live up to expectations. Due to a lack of communication and effort in regards to making them feel valued, these 2 are ready to fall back and move on to better things. A beautiful blend of R&B and Hip Hop that I will be more than happy to listen to time and time again.
