I have something a little more personal to talk about this week. I want to talk about the declining veterans health care services those of us who gave a portion of our lives are supposed to be receiving from our Veterans hospitals.

As some of you may remember me saying before, I am a military veteran who gave up close to twenty five years of my life in military service to the United States. In the course of multiple deployments and countless training exercises that kept me from coming home at night, I got pretty banged up along the way, like a lot of us have.

So, gather round, sit you down somewhere comfortable for a bit while I talk about a recent encounter with my local Veterans Administration hospital and the overall picture of a declining empire that still wants our young people to fight for them, but has now decided to not to take care of us like they promised.

I’m at a bit of a quandary this week, because there is so much going on in the news that I don’t want to just parrot the main stream media.

So, let’s talk about the overall decline of the United States under the helm of Trump and his government full of thugs, rapists, domestic abusers and outright nut jobs.

So, gather round, sit you down somewhere comfortable for a bit as I vent a little bit about the United States, as compared to the rest of the world now, and what that is looking like more and more for the average person living in the U.S., and some of it’s, used to be, closest allies.

First, let me apologize up front for the poor audio. As I mentioned, I’m undergoing some major upgrades in my IT infrastructure this month and apparently StreamYard was affected like so much else in my network. The platform switched microphones on me and I failed to verify the correct one before recording today’s podcast. It’s fixed now but I thought to myself during editing, that I’d rather apologize than make another recording. I’ll do better next week, I promise.

After taking a week off to manage some pressing IT projects (of which I still have more to do after today), I’m back to talk about the new world of technology we find ourselves in now, and the near future that’s going to bring to the U.S. and the west in general. So much is changing so quickly and not all for the good of all mankind.

So, gather round, sit you down somewhere comfortable for a bit as I tell you about how China is likely going to bring on a major recession in the United States with their rapid advances in cheaper AI models, the massive surveillance state that the U.S. and other western countries are creating, and how these new mega data centers may be the catalyst that brings it all down.

It came from a shop in Boston, MA dated 1915 and has been passed down through my family for a couple of generations now.

To start, I want to try and address an elephant in the room.

It's so hard to talk about anything positive these troubled days we find ourselves in without sounding like a podcast about kittens and puppies. Although some people would like that as a way to forget all of the doom and gloom around us everywhere.

I'm not a bubbly writer. I don't do hearts and flowers or self-help shows, sorry. What I do talk about are all of the things that I worry about as a normal everyday American citizen. Things that I see and hear are the same things you see and hear. I'm just saying them out loud for all to hear.

Right now, we're all worried about whether our grocery bills and the already high cost of living is going to get higher this year, with everything Trump is doing. I don't have any good answers either. What I do know, is that letting the oligarchs keep us divided when we need more than ever to work together, no matter our cultural differences or political beliefs, is a path to nowhere.

So, gather round, sit you down somewhere comfortable for a bit while I bring you some stories about our economy, ICE, and where we need to get if we're going to save this country from those who would steal it from us.
