Summary

When a man disappears from a grain silo in the dead of a Missouri winter, his sister asks Luna to help search. But the silo was empty for years — condemned, welded shut. Inside, they find a rope ladder that descends deeper than any silo should go, and a sound like something breathing from far below. This is a story about why some doors are sealed from the outside, and what happens when you unseal them at two in the morning. Based on events near the town of Ransom Creek, December 2019.
