A traveler browsing a crowded market in Algeria comes across an old, weathered journal and decides to take it with him. The diary once belonged to Liam Wentworth, a British explorer who joined a 1952 expedition in search of an abandoned Ottoman fort rumored to contain immense treasure.
As the entries unfold, the truth behind the expedition becomes horrifyingly clear. The team was stalked by monstrous, seemingly immortal beings—once French soldiers, now transformed into something inhuman and demonic. The fort was never a treasure site, but a carefully laid trap designed to lure victims and harvest their souls.
One by one, the explorers vanish or lose their sanity. In the final entry, Liam spares the last surviving member from a fate worse than death by killing her before she can transform, then prepares to end his own life. The journal stands as a final warning: some places are not meant to be found, and some legends exist to keep people away from unspeakable horrors.
