He says he's spent more than fifty years investigating unexplained aerial phenomena, but unlike many researchers, he also claims to have experienced close encounters himself over many decades.

He's the author of I, Alien: Memoirs of a UFO Spy, in which he describes what he believes are sustained contacts with non-human intelligences and explores some very big questions about consciousness, government secrecy and the UFO—or UAP—phenomenon.
