The Relationship Breakthrough Show is the THE place to find out what you can do to improve YOUR relationship, or even to find love! We’re genuinely passionate about helping you turn around whatever relationship challenges you are going through, so that you can experience more love, passion, connection and joy through your relationships! Over the past years we’ve worked with literally thousands of people through our events, group programmes and direct work with couples and individuals looking to experience a relationship that really serves them AND the people around them. Before going on our own journeys and eventually creating Aligned with Love, we’ve both had our own challenges or “dark days” in relationships. We were really determined to understand what was going on in our relationships, why it kept happening and what we could do to start shifting things. Having now worked with hundreds of clients in supporting them to turn their relationships around, we’re excited to share the best of what we’ve learnt with you, so that you too can experience the benefits for yourselves and the ripple effect on the people around you! In the Relationship Breakthrough Show we: - interview experts from a range of fields giving you the latest advice and knowledge from the world of relationship - work directly with clients looking to improve their relationship, meaning that you can experience their journey LIVE with us - review books and materials including the latest releases so that you can inform yourself further in the area of relationship - speak to clients that we have worked with sharing how they got to point of being ready to make a change, and what the process involved ...and MUCH more!Copyright Aligned with Love Hygiene & Healthy Living Personal Development Personal Success Relationships Social Sciences

  • Talking to Young People About Sex: How to Break the Silence Without the Awkwardness
    Apr 20 2026
In this episode of The Relationship Breakthrough Show, Matt is joined by PJ Livett — founder of Rephrase and one of the UK’s most straight‑talking, no‑nonsense educators on sex, consent, and healthy relationships. Talking to young people about sex and relationships can feel awkward, intimidating, or even overwhelming. But as PJ explains, it doesn’t have to be. The real issue isn’t a knowledge gap — it’s a confidence gap. And when adults avoid the topic, young people turn to their peers, Google, or pornography to fill in the blanks. Together, Matthew and PJ unpack: - Why conversations about sex feel so uncomfortable for so many adults - How our own upbringing, shame, and lack of language get passed down to the next generation - The myths young people believe — from “everyone else is doing it” to “jealousy means love” - How pornography is shaping expectations around bodies, performance, and power - Why consent isn’t a one‑time yes, but an ongoing emotional and physical safety conversation - How to help young people spot red flags like control, isolation, and toxic behaviour - Why self‑worth is the foundation of every healthy relationship - Practical ways parents can talk to their kids without awkwardness, lectures, or panic - The power of ‘100 one‑minute conversations’ instead of one big talk - How to use TV, films, and everyday moments as natural openings for deeper conversations This episode is essential listening for parents, educators, and anyone who wants to raise confident, emotionally intelligent young people who can navigate intimacy, consent, and connection in a healthy way. • Respond, Don’t React: The Relationship Skill That Starts With Parenting With Amanda Hill
    Mar 29 2026
Have you ever felt that tight tension before a conversation—like everyone’s bracing for the next blow‑up? In this powerful episode, educator and creator Amanda Hill shares what she’s seen after 30+ years working with children, teachers, and families: more kids arriving at school emotionally dysregulated—and more adults quietly carrying unprocessed emotions into everyday interactions. Amanda introduces her simple, surprisingly effective method: Mood Munchers—characters that help children (and adults) name emotions without becoming them. Because the breakthrough isn’t “get rid of anger” or “stop the tears.” The breakthrough is learning the difference between “I feel this” and “I am this.” And if you’ve ever thought, “I don’t want to dig into my past… what if I don’t like what I find?” Amanda offers a gentle, doable starting point that doesn’t require a massive life overhaul. ✅ Listen to the end for: - A practical family dinner routine that builds emotional safety - A simple active listening exercise that stops power struggles - A powerful closing reminder: the most important relationship you’ll ever have is the one with yourself. • Tired, Wired, and Running on Empty: How Energy Shapes Your Relationships
    Mar 13 2026
In today’s conversation, we dive into a hidden culprit behind relationship tension, emotional overwhelm, and the sense of being constantly “on”: your energy. Our guest, Joy Langley — a psychotherapy‑trained coach with 20 years' experience — shares why traditional productivity tools and routines aren’t enough if your nervous system is dysregulated. We explore what “low energy” actually looks like, why it impacts communication and connection, and how Joy’s TLC Framework (Tenderly pausing, Lovingly letting go of unhelpful patterns, and Caringly choosing change) helps people regain emotional steadiness, clarity, and joy. If you’ve ever felt tired, wired, or stuck in cycles of conflict or avoidance, this episode will help you understand what’s really going on and how to start changing it.
