  • Episode 164: If You Read It Like This It Will Change Your Whole Experience...With April and Leigh

In this episode, we're unpacking one of the simplest yet most challenging instructions found in Scripture: "Do whatever He tells you."

At the wedding in Cana, when the wine ran out, Mary turned to the servants and gave them a command that still speaks to us today: "Do whatever He tells you" (John 2:5). What Jesus asked the servants to do next probably didn't make sense. Filling jars with water had nothing to do with the problem they were trying to solve...or so it seemed. Yet their obedience positioned them to witness a miracle.

How often do we do the opposite? We overthink, question, delay, and search for easier or more logical solutions. We want the full plan before we take the first step. But God often calls us to obey before we understand.

Join us as we discuss why obedience is both simple and difficult, how God's instructions don't always make sense in the moment, and why the shortest path to where God is leading you is often just doing what He tells you to do.

If you've been wrestling with a next step, waiting for clarity, or trying to figure everything out before moving forward, this conversation is for you.

  • Episode 163: How Did He Sleep Through That???? Bonus Shorty Acts 12:6-11 with Leigh
    Jun 9 2026

In this shorty episode, I’m sharing a passage on staying rooted in the Lord despite your present circumstances.

Peter is sitting in prison, chained between two guards, with an uncertain future ahead of him. By all appearances, he has every reason to be anxious, afraid, and wide awake. Yet Acts 12 tells us something surprising: Peter was sleeping.

How could someone facing such overwhelming circumstances experience that kind of peace?

In this episode, I dive into Acts 12:6-11 and uncover what Peter understood about God’s power, God’s timing, and God’s faithfulness. I’ll explore how God works behind the scenes, opens doors no one else can open, and provides peace even when our circumstances haven’t changed.

If you’ve been carrying stress, facing uncertainty, or wondering whether God is still at work in your situation, this conversation will encourage you to trust Him more and rest in His control.

If Peter could sleep in prison, maybe there’s something we can learn about peace in our own storms.

  • Episode 162: That Time Elizabeth Had To Tell The People How It Was Going To Be with Leigh and April
    May 29 2026

Send us a message! Click here!

In this week's episode, we're diving into the powerful story of Elizabeth and Zechariah in Luke 1 as they boldly named their son John despite the confusion, questions, and expectations of those around them.

When it came time to name their baby, everyone assumed they would follow tradition. But Elizabeth stood firm and declared, "No, he shall be called John," because she and Zechariah were committed to obeying the assignment God had given them. What didn't make sense to others made perfect sense in light of God's direction.

Their story challenges us to examine our own lives. Are we allowing the opinions of others, cultural expectations, or fear of standing out to pull us away from what God has called us to do? Or are we willing to walk in obedience, even when our decisions aren't understood?

Join us as we discuss the courage it takes to stay true to God's calling, the importance of standing firm in your convictions, and why your divine assignment is too important to let the world talk you out of it.
