• Why I Think I Suddenly Have So Much Energy, Electrolytes, and Bird Sounds
    Jun 18 2026

Thursday June 18th: I'm recording from up north at my mom's house (excuse the bird sounds) and sharing a little life update. A few weeks ago, I was honestly feeling like I was on the verge of burnout. Everything felt harder than it should have, I was constantly stressed, and my energy was completely depleted.

So I made some major changes.

In this episode, I talk about how the results of these changes have been shocking. My mood is better, I'm sleeping better, my productivity has improved, my motivation is back, and I have more energy than I've had in a long time. It feels like a completely different way of living, and I can't stop talking about it.

I also share what I've learned about hydration and why adding electrolytes to my water every day has been such a game changer. After diving into the science of sodium, hydration, and connective tissue disorders, so many things started making sense.

Grab a coffee, go for a walk, or tackle that never-ending pile of laundry and come hang out with me!

  • The Symptoms I Could Never Explain & My New Fave ChatGPT Hack
    Jun 11 2026

Thursday June 11th, 2026: For years, I've dealt with a collection of seemingly random symptoms that never quite made sense when looked at individually. But what if they're all connected?

In today's solo episode, I'm sharing the health rabbit hole I've recently found myself down as I explore the possibility that many of my long-standing symptoms could be related to connective tissue issues. I talk about my sister's recent Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome diagnosis, the genetic testing process, and answer some of the questions I've been getting from listeners who are navigating similar concerns.

I also share a major mindset shift that's been making a huge difference in my day-to-day life. After realizing I was spending far too much time and energy on things that weren't actually improving my quality of life, I've been re-prioritizing. More food prep, more movement, more things I genuinely enjoy, and a lot less rushing around feeling overwhelmed.

And because I can't stop talking about it, I also reveal my latest ChatGPT obsession: using it for home improvement projects. If you've ever wanted to redesign a room, plan a renovation, or visualize changes before spending a dollar, you're going to love this hack.

A little health talk, a little life update, and a very enthusiastic discussion about AI-powered home design. Enjoy!

    Jun 9 2026

Oona Metz, therapist, author, and speaker, joins The Mom Room this week to talk about the emotional journey of divorce. Oona has led divorce support groups for the past 15 years, and during that time she learned that her patients were wanting a divorce book specifically for women, written by a therapist. Oona shares the five phase model of divorce grief that she created, her thoughts on the book Strangers: A Memoir of Marriage, and what it really means to co-parent. • The Sinus Saga, Burnout & Why I Had to Slow Down
    Jun 4 2026

Thursday June 4th: Welcome back to The Mom Room!

Today’s solo episode starts with a trip down memory lane as I share the full history of my sinus issues, from years of recurring infections to sinus surgery in 2015, the complications that followed, and why this has remained such a frustrating part of my health journey.

Then we shift into something that has been on my mind a lot lately: burnout.

Over the past year, I started noticing subtle signs that something wasn't quite right. I was feeling irritated by completely normal work emails. Someone would send a polite "just following up" message and I'd immediately feel annoyed. That was my clue that the issue wasn't the email, it was me. I had reached a point where I was constantly working, constantly rushing, and starting to resent something I genuinely love doing.

So I've been making some changes.

In this episode, I talk about how prioritizing nutrition, movement, daily walks with the dogs, tidying my spaces before sitting down to work, and taking intentional breaks throughout the day has completely changed how I feel. I'm working differently, moving differently, and honestly enjoying my days a lot more.

I also share why I'm feeling pulled toward creating something new, a more focused project that feels exciting and meaningful, but first I need to figure out exactly what that thing is.

If you've been feeling overwhelmed, stuck in productivity mode, or like you're constantly checking things off a never-ending to-do list, this conversation might be exactly what you need today.

    Enjoy!

  • Your Algorithm Is Not Your Kid’s Algorithm, Grade 6 Memories, & The Parking Garage Disaster
    May 28 2026

Thursday May 28th, 2026: Welcome back to The Mom Room! Today’s solo episode starts with a realization I think a lot of parents are missing when it comes to social media and kids. The reason TikTok or Instagram may seem “harmless” to you… is because YOUR algorithm is tailored to YOU. My feed? Mostly Pomeranians, home content, Bravo drama, and random mom-life videos. So naturally, I assumed kids weren’t really stumbling across anything too concerning besides the occasional swear word.

Then one day I searched “massage” on TikTok looking for physio therapy exercises, self-massage, and lymphatic drainage videos… and what came up honestly shocked me. It completely changed the way I think about kids having unrestricted access to search features and social media in general. We need to talk about it.

I also take a nostalgic detour into my childhood obsession with No Doubt and Gwen Stefani, including the iconic story of how my Grade 6 teacher somehow got a No Doubt t-shirt signed by Gwen just for me (still not over it). And finally, I tell the story of how I managed to absolutely destroy my car in an underground parking garage in Toronto a couple weekends ago… because apparently I need at least one humbling experience per month to keep me grounded.

A little parenting, a little nostalgia, a little chaos. Enjoy!
