Martin, a self confessed beer nerd takes his lifelong friend Dan on a beer-curious journey from mass produced lager and in to the wonderful world of craft beer. This week the lads are settling in for a proper nostalgic one 🍺

We're taking a trip back to Saturday night telly in the 90s — the era of Noel Edmonds, Blind Date, and whatever madness the BBC and ITV were throwing at the wall. Was it golden age TV or glorified nonsense? We reminisce, we debate, and we definitely disagree.

We also dip into MasterChef — has it lost the plot, or is it still the greatest cooking show on telly? You know how that conversation goes...

Then it's time for another round of Bell End or Legend 🔔👑 — the game where reputations go to die. This week's picks are spicy. You have been warned.

And we wrap things up by finishing our Newbarns Brewery tour with a stout 🖤🍻 — is it a fitting send-off to the series or did we save the best till last? Tune in to find out.

🍺 The Lagers Off Podcast | Newbarns Brown Ale, The North-South Divide & A Proper 90s Nostalgia Trip

Martin and Dan are back, and this week they're continuing their deep dive into Newbarns Brewery — and this time, it's all about the brown ale. Does it live up to the name? Is it what you'd expect from one of Scotland's most talked-about craft breweries? The lads crack it open and give you their honest, unfiltered take. But that's not all. Things get slightly heated (in the best possible way) when the debate turns to one of England's great unsolved questions: where exactly does the North-South divide actually sit? Martin and Dan have opinions. Strong ones. You might agree, you might not — but you will have something to say about it. And then it's a trip down memory lane as the conversation drifts into the 90s — the music, the culture, the general vibe of it all — and how much things have changed since then. For better? For worse? Probably a bit of both. Pull up a chair, crack something cold open, and join the chat.

This week on The Lager’s Off Podcast, Martin and Dan are back with another brilliantly chaotic episode 🍻

They dive into the wild world of parking fines (and the questionable logic behind them), share some love for the unsung heroes that are corner shops, and somehow end up discussing the very real possibility of crocodiles in hotel pools… because why not?

On the beer front, the lads continue their Newbarn's Brewery review series, this time cracking open the Ryder IPA — does it live up to the hype or leave them wanting another round?

Expect laughs, tangents, and a few strong opinions along the way.
