    In it he offers a panoramic account of the Mongol invasions of the Middle East during the thirteenth century, examining these wars from the perspectives of the many different societies impacted by their conquests, including of course Byzantium.

A perfect sequel

Robin picks up the story of Rome and does it justice in this perfect sequel for the History of Rome. Not simply a mere continuation, Robin introduces a new style of personal story telling that takes you to the world of Byzantium and brings the characters to life.

This podcast is the gold standard and I can't recommend it highly enough.
