  • 7-1: World Cup knockouts, Bryan Woo delights and Mazvita Maraire
    Jul 1 2026

Gregg is at Jimmy's ahead of the World Cup and it's already getting busy down there! Happy Bobby Bonilla Day! Are there really odds on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding? Plus, an all-time blunder led to a Rangers win last night and they remain a half game ahead of the Mariners in the AL West. Trey McBride hates playing the Seahawks defense. Gregg gives a quick World Cup update. Bryan Woo broke the ultimate baseball superstition last night, and it was awesome. While pitchers are typically isolated on start days, Woo decided to invite and spend time with Seattle Children's patients before the game, and then set a franchise record on the mound. World Cup Daily! Gregg gives you the latest on the world's largest tournament, where Harry Kane is about to be knighted after scoring two goals today against DR Congo in the knockout round. Mazvita Maraire, FOX 13 World Cup Analyst sits down with Gregg to recap what we've seen in the World Cup so far, but most importantly gives an in-depth preview of Team USA's matchup with Bosnia and Herzegovina this afternoon. We check the talkbacks and texts and find out what's coming up on Ian's show!

  • 6-30: Mariners win, Seahawks sale and Jim Bowden
    Jun 30 2026

George Kirby had a masterful night on the mound yesterday and we hear from him and Dan Wilson about going a full eight innings. Plus, Justin Hollander has some words for the 'lunatic fringe' of fans who are criticizing his training staff. While he has the right to speak up for his staff, Gregg doesn't think he made the right choice of wording. For a fanbase that's never tasted a World Series, they have a right to be frustrated. Dan Wilson changed the lineup last night and it worked out well for Cal Raleigh hitting 6th, not to mention the lineup produced 6 runs, the most they've output in 14 games. Gregg would put Cole Young in the 2-hole and contends he's the most valuable player in the lineup right now. Plus, what can Buddy Kennedy offer this team? Bloomberg published a story about the Seahawks sale, and the first round of bidding was set to end yesterday. The big names out there are not local, but Gregg is hearing there is a local whale in play. Jim Bowden, The Athletic, CBS Sports and Sirius XM tells Gregg that Jerry Dipoto and Justin Hollander are absolutely hands on when it comes to first-time manager Dan Wilson, but it's due to giving him guidance and limiting mistakes, rather than being overbearing. He also breaks down the pitching situation with the piggyback and the 6-man rotation. He thinks the best way to handle Luis Castillo is to put him in the bullpen. Jim also says this is absolutely the Mariners' window and if he were them, he'd be doing anything he could to get the pieces they need to win. He also previews the trade deadline and he would not sit back and wait when it comes to the trade pieces they have. We check your texts and talk to Ian!

  • 6-29: World Cup mania, Mariners struggles and Niko Moreno
    Jun 29 2026

Gregg and Jess are back together, what is this an Army Navy game? Gregg sets the scene from the Iran v Egypt match on Friday, as he and his son went to the game. The end of that match was pandemonium. The rest of the matches he watched were equally as thrilling. The Mariners scored more than 3 runs and still lost. Dan Wilson is getting criticized once again for his pitching management, but Gregg says he's just following the Dipoto/Hollander plan. Why do they have all these rules, when they have nothing to do with winning? We hear from Cal Raleigh, who tells us what's going on and what needs to change, including himself. Why was Leonard Williams in Spokane this weekend? We hear from him about his Hoopfest experience. It's awesome to see guys live here year-round. Niko Moreno, FOX 13 and Sounder at Heart gives his opinion on what we saw at the end of the Egypt v Iran match, and he doesn't think what we saw was the true spirit of the rule. We've seen it in other games as well. Niko is following the World Cup extremely closely and takes us through the high stakes games we've seen so far. He also breaks down the identities of the big-name countries left. France seems the clearcut favorite right now. We check the texts and talk to Ian!
