-This week on The Coy Pond we decided not to dive head first into the Superbowl since we still have another week before that game. In the meantime there has been plenty of coaching news as well as drama unfolding. At the very top of the drama Bill Belichick has been snubbed from being a first ballot hall of famer. Regardless of your opinion of the Patriots and what Bill and Tom did together who else is a better first ballot hall of fame coach? Thats right no one. We broke down our opinions on the matter and guessed what could have kept the voters weary of Bill. Next up is Shedeur Sanders making the pro bowl. He had a better season than most Browns QBs have in the last several years but that does not mean pro bowl. Once again we are talking about how the pro bowl does not matter at all anymore and should be replaced with something else. Finally this week we gave some early opinions on the Superbowl and what we both expect to happen in two weeks.

-This week on The Coy Pond we dove into both championship games and predicted who we think will get a chance to win the Superbowl. In the first game the New England Patriots travel to Colorado to take on the Denver Broncos in what will be Jarrett Stidham's first start this season. Will New England be able to handle their first road game of the playoffs and can the Bronco's defense do enough to help Stidham out?

The NFC championship will be held in Seattle as the Los Angeles Rams come to town to try and vanquish one of the best defenses in the NFL this season. The Seahawks will be without Zach Charbonnet the rest of the season and will have to figure out how to solve his absence. Can Matthew Stafford and his experience best their NFC West divisional rival this week??

- 8 TEAMS ARE LEFT! Who is going to move onto the conference championship this week?

- This week on The Coy Pond we kept it nice and easy and went over the entire NFL Divisional Round. We have got four very exciting games this week where whoever wins will move on to the conference championship game. Something we don't see every year is an underdog 1 seed. This has only happened one other time and they did win so we'll see if history repeats. Saturday night we get a divisional rematch that decided the 1 seed between the 49ers and seahawks. Sunday afternoon the Texans will once again travel Northeast to New England to take on the red hot Patriots and Drake Maye. Then to cap the week off Sunday night we get the air it out offense of the Rams going to the icy tundra of Chicago to face the much improved iceman.

-This week has all the story lines beginning to close and we will have to sit back and watch who emerges victorious.
