Matthew doesn't simply introduce us to Jesus as our Savior—he reveals Jesus as our Teacher and King. From the Sermon on the Mount to the Great Commission, Matthew continually reminds us that following Jesus is more than believing the right things. It's learning to live under His loving authority every single day.

In Matthew 6:19–24, Jesus challenges the deepest loyalties of our hearts. He reminds us that where our treasure is, our heart will be also—and that no one can serve two masters. For busy disciples, those words couldn't be more relevant.
