Brett kicks off the program by talking about Zohran Mamdani’s comments on democratic socialism and the potential impact of socialist ideas on American politics. He questions whether socialist candidates could gain broader support across the country and discusses concerns about the direction of the Democratic Party. Brett also touches on economic challenges, the appeal of socialist policies to voters facing high costs, and the debate over government’s role in solving those issues. Brett argues that Americans should consider the long-term effects of political movements and emphasizes the importance of individual opportunity, personal responsibility, and protecting what he describes as traditional American values.

Later Brett discusses President Trump’s comments on the Save America Act, birthright citizenship, and the ongoing debate over election laws and government policy. Brett shares audio from the president’s remarks before giving his own reaction to the issues surrounding voter identification, citizenship requirements, and the role of government in protecting American values. He then shifts into a broader conversation about socialism, warning listeners about what he views as the potential consequences of expanding socialist ideas in the United States. Brett argues that individual ambition, entrepreneurship, and personal responsibility are key to the country’s future, pointing to innovators and business leaders as examples of what can be achieved through hard work.

  • Far-Left Party Divide Debate On The Brett Winterble Show
    Jun 26 2026

Tune in here to this Friday's edition of the Brett Winterble Show!

Brett kicks off the program by talking about divisions within the Democratic Party and claims of a growing “far-left” faction, before shifting into a broader discussion about political ideology and internal party tensions. He argues that newer, more progressive members will become increasingly outspoken and difficult for party leadership to manage, suggesting this could lead to internal conflict and disruption in future legislative sessions.

Brett then expands the conversation into concerns about how political movements are funded, suggesting that large corporations may face pressure or coercion from activist groups tied to these movements. He connects these ideas to past protest movements and civil unrest, using them to argue that political and economic pressure tactics could escalate.
