    Dr Sumi Dunne is a general practitioner and clinical lecturer. Born in London, she graduated from the University of Southampton and later completed her training at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

    From 2019 to 2024, she gained national recognition as the resident GP on the popular TV series Operation Transformation.

Saoírse’s story inspired the launch of the Toy Show Appeal, raising millions for children's charities. Tragically, Saoírse passed away in March 2024 at the age of 12 after a prolonged fight with osteosarcoma, a rare bone cancer.
