The 2026 ADA Scientific Sessions was marred by a standoff between ADA staff and some highly reputable scientists who were trying to distribute copies of an editorial that was published in an ADA journal without “express written consent”. There were also rumors swirling about the hostile takeover of one of Breakthrough T1D’s major fundraising entities and its own parent company.

Despite the political skirmishes, this year’s meeting was nothing short of fantastic. Clinical Director and Founder Gary Scheiner learned about the latest in research, technology, and product releases and shares them with you in this special episode.
