As believers, it is important that we understand one of the great implications of the Gospel: through Christ's resurrection, we received power. And the power at work in us is the very power that raised Him from the dead.

In his letter to the church in Ephesus, Apostle Paul writes of "the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead."

One of the greatest implications of the Gospel is that the sacrifice of Jesus has already broken the power of sin over your life. But freedom unacknowledged is freedom unused.

Apostle Paul writes in Romans 6, "Reckon yourselves to be dead to sin... for sin shall not have dominion over you." The word reckon is key. It is a deliberate, conscious act of faith. When you fail to stand on what Christ has already done, you leave a door open for the enemy to keep you trapped in the very thing you have already been freed from.

So today, make the declaration: sin has no dominion over me. Not because you feel it, but because the Word says it.
