  • Full 'Disclosure': Spielberg's new film falls short of lofty expectations
    Jun 24 2026

Steven Spielberg is the master of the summer blockbuster. His 1975 classic "Jaws" is credited as the first big summer movie in film history, and films from "Raiders of the Lost Ark" to "Saving Private Ryan" are among his most loved summer films.

Spielberg is also noted for his science-fiction films that explore the possibilities of life beyond our planet, such as "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" and "Close Encounters of the Third Kind." Building on this legacy, he returns this summer with "Disclosure Day," which explores what would happen if the existence of aliens were revealed to the world.

In this episode, the conversation shifts from Spielberg's filmography to the latest release, as co-hosts Bruce Miller and Terry Lipshetz talk about the film. They note that while it is good, it does not live up to the hype that comes with a Spielberg film. However, as mentioned in this week's episode, the worst Spielberg film is still going to be better than just about anything else.

The hosts also discuss the New York Knicks finally winning an NBA title before looking ahead to the release of "Toy Story 5."

  • New movies drop and 'The Bear' returns after a trip to 'Gary'
    Jun 17 2026

We haven't seen all of the big summer blockbusters, but there are still plenty of movies to watch. But are they worth your time?

And the final season of "The Bear" is almost here. Co-host Bruce Miller has seen almost all of the episodes and shares what we can, while co-host Terry Lipshetz talks about the bonus episode of the show that dropped in May called "Gary."

In this episode, the hosts talk about "The Bear" and movies like "Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass," "Toy Story 5," "Elle," a new series that is a prequel to "Legally Blonde," and "The Social Reckoning," a movie that serves as a follow-up to "The Social Network" starring Oscar-winner Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White of "The Bear."

  • Summer movies run cold as 'Euphoria' ends wild ride
    Jun 10 2026

“Disclosure Day” and “The Odyssey” are expected to dominate the summer box office, but they’re not quite here.

Instead, we’ve been left with an underwhelming start to the summer movie season to go with the conclusion of several seasons and series of streaming favorites.

On this week’s episode, co-host Bruce Miller shares his thoughts on movies that missed the mark, from “Power Ballad” to “The Breadwinner” to “Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu.” And then there is another movie with low expectations: “Masters of the Universe.”

Co-host Terry Lipshetz shares his thoughts on the conclusions of “Euphoria,” “Beef,” “Half Man,” “The Testaments,” and “For All Mankind,” before turning to the start of the latter’s spinoff, “Star City.”
