Here are some stories.

I’ve lived in Byron Bay, Australia since I was a teenager and there’s enough stories just in that line.

I’m a good storyteller and knowing me, I’ll make it funny, but you can always trust me to be most unfilteredly honest.

Holly English bangs on about all things regarding life and “spirituality”, the cults, pitfall and perils of the Byron Bay New Age community (and beyond) and what’s the real deal. Mwah!

  • The Redhead Gene (& The Secret Jew).
    Jan 1 2026

In episode two of this five-part 'Story Time' series, Holly bangs on about the fascinating facts (and loose urban myths) of the redhead gene and also begins to touch on the wild and crazy true story of her Dad (which she will bang on about proper in the next episode).

If you are a redhead, you may find solace in this episode.

If you have one in your life, here are some hot takes.

The secret Jew is not an anti-semitic thing. However, there is a reference to anti-semitic behaviour (yes, Dad again).

    Enjoy!

  • Dad. Part 1 (of 2).
    Jun 1 2026

“The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off”- Gloria Steinem.

Some Dad’s are amazing. Some Dad’s are absent. Then there is mine…

This ‘double feature’ episode “Dad: the Storytime” is not for the faint-hearted… or maybe even the strong-hearted. Big trigger warnings all over this: mentions of suicide, severe mental illness, verbal, emotional & sexual abuse (no, that one is not my Dad but someone else mentioned), coercive control, intergenerational trauma & racism.

I think Ep.2 is better than Ep.1, but you have to listen to Ep.1 to set up the context for Ep.2! The story flows from it. I just regret how fast I was speaking & how much I packed into Ep.1, but couldn’t bring myself to re-record it, as it is so damn triggering for me.

I’m a lot more organised this time than I was for my Redhead Gene episode, however I’m learning as I go & Ep.2 is considerably more measured.

So! Buckle up, pour yourself a drink & enjoy this Storytime!
