Shane Bryant, a former Australian Army dog handler, has spent 10 years in Afghanistan working with elite American special alongside his faithful dog. Bryant is part of a band of modern day warriors; civilian contractors who commute to and from war zones, spending months away on operations, while also trying to keep relationships with family and loved ones alive at home.
War Dogs is his story.
Tony Park was born in 1964 and grew up in the western suburbs of Sydney. He has worked as a newspaper reporter, a press secretary, a PR consultant and a freelance writer. He also 34 years in the Australian Army Reserve, including 6 months in Afghanistan in 2002. Tony and his wife divide their time equally between Australia and South Africa. He is the author 18 African novels and 6 non-fiction books.
