About this listen

How do we fix the problems of our world? The U.S. is in decline, and China is ascending. The U.S., which should be providing leadership, is paralyzed by partisan division. Most of the big problems are global, beyond the scope of what any one country can fix - climate change, overpopulation, and income equality. We'll explore the world's biggest problems and the steps we can take to fix them.Copyright 2021 Dean Wallraff Political Science Politics & Government

Global overview of "reparanda," which means "things that need to be fixed." (I explain how that word is constructed in Latin at the end of the podcast.) Themes of the podcast: The U.S. in decline, partly because we can't get anything done in the public sphere, partly because the country has decayed, partly because of partisan divisions. The big divisions, with no way to reconcile them, is a symptom of the decay. Most of the big problems that need fixing are international in scope: climate change, overpopulation, unsustainable policies, huge economic disparities. Podcast will explore the biggest problems with guests - what should we do? How do we fix our reparanda?
