Have you come across any video title, headlines that said something to the effect of "Americans can't read" or "kids can't read" or "America's literacy crisis?" Yeah, me too. It's a moral panic disguised as a genuine concern.
To be clear, United States certainly has issues with reading comprehension, but calling this a literacy crisis is inaccurate. To solve a problem, we have to accurate describe it first.
