“Brother Molly” begins with a prologue addressing Molly T. Marshall’s resignation from Central Seminary ahead of her planned retirement. In “Episode 1: Queen Regent,” Molly grows up in the Southern Baptist church in Oklahoma, notices the power imbalance based on gender, senses a call to ministry, and heads off to college – with lots of questions. Episode 1 (including all interviews contained therein) was produced prior to Marshall’s resignation.
