    In May of 1536 the plot against Anne Boleyn surfaced in the Tower of London palace. The first of 4 charges was that she practised witchcraft. Anne was not a witch and the charge says more about her accusers. They had no better way of expressing the existential threat they perceived. But what they did know and understood was that she was anti-establishment.

    Anne Boleyn was found guilty by 26 feudal lords.

    It was exactly 500 years ago in 1526 that Anne Boleyn became a household name. She had the protection of the King. She used her privilege to create a new church. According to co-founder Archbishop Thomas Cranmer the chief architect of the Church of England was Anne Boleyn. It was her baby, so to speak.
