After coming back to Jerusalem, Jesus heals a lame man. We find out that the man’s condition was related to his own sin and he’s warned by Jesus to repent of that sin or he will end up worse than his lifetime of suffering up to that point. Here we see the consequences of sin and the grace of Jesus on display.

John 4:43-54

Jesus performs a miracle for a desperate man who then believes in Him along with his whole household, showing the contrast of Israel’s corporate unbelief vs this man’s true saving faith.

After Jesus speaks with the woman at the well, she convinces her village to come hear Him and many are converted to Christ.

I got caught up in the conversation and didn’t say a crucial point: When Jesus says true worshippers worship “in truth”, He means that true worship must be based in and governed by the truth of God’s Word, and must come through the salvation of God’s Son. Real worship is not experience-driven but truth-driven.
