About this listen

The mission of this podcast is to empower leaders in the oil industry by providing scripture study, tools, and resources to help them live a set-apart life. We aim to see the oil industry transformed by leaders who are dedicated to studying and applying scripture.

Talor, Joseph, and Lonnie are former college football players with a combined experience of over 30 years in the oil industry. Drawing on their competitive spirit from their athletic backgrounds, they approach scripture study with the same tenacity they applied on the field. In their roles as husbands, fathers, community leaders, and entrepreneurs in the oilfield, they are committed to integrating these teachings into their daily lives. They are not pastors or have any formal seminary training. Instead they are just three men in process with a hunger for the truth, no matter how hard it hurts. They are constantly in process, improving, & searching for truth. They invite their audience to join them on this journey of leadership and self improvement.

The intent of this podcast is to encourage and inspire all listeners to want to study scripture on their own so that they will be able to find the truth on their own and not be swayed by any teaching of any kind.

  • Oilfield Assembly Podcast: Episode 18 - Winning With Grace & Samson's Downfall
    Jan 30 2026

Three oilfield professionals tackle winning with grace through sports, business, and Biblical wisdom. They dig into the Book of Judges, where Israel's cycle of sin, oppression, repentance, and deliverance reveals God's patience and humanity's stubborn pride. Samson's story hits hard—superhuman strength undone by repeated bad choices with Delilah. The lesson? Small compromises lead to catastrophic failures, whether you're drilling wells, coaching youth basketball, or running a company. Cut out the leaven before it ruins the whole batch.
