  • Steven Pladl
    Jun 28 2026
Grab a beer and join us tonight as we cover Steven Pladl! In 1998, Steven and his wife put their infant daughter up for adoption, and a family in New York raised her as Katie Fusco. Eighteen years later, after she turned 18, Katie reached out to her biological parents and moved in with them. Within months Steven left his wife, and what developed between him and Katie is the reason this case exists. They married in 2017, lying on the paperwork about being related. They had a son. They were arrested for incest in early 2018 once it all came to light. Tonight we get into how it happened, the abuse in Steven's past, and the bond decision that left him on the street. • Necro Overtime: Jellyfish Drones and the Elias Thorne
    Jun 24 2026
Grab a beer and join us tonight for another installment of Necro Overtime! First, a downed US F-15 pilot, rescued after being shot down over Iran back in April, told intelligence officials he saw something strange before he ejected: multiple Iranian drones hovering in the air, moving as one, in a formation that resembled a jellyfish. Then, a Cornell paper that figured out why AI chatbots, when asked to write a story, keep inventing the same character. His name is Elias Thorne, he's almost always a lighthouse keeper, and he shows up in two-thirds of all the stories these things generate. We'll get into where this tupla-like entity came from and why the machines can't stop summoning him. https://www.necronomipod.com https://www.patreon.com/necronomipod Learn more about your ad choices. Ian, Dave and Mike a ménage à trois to good to be true.
Ian who is our main narrator here digs deep into all the cases with a very detailed timeline and tells these almost like a story to Mike and Dave. What I really enjoy about this podcast is that we get to hear incredible cases whether it be "popular", niche, murder, paranormal, alien, missing persons etc they cover them all and sometimes no details are spared. Not for dramatic effect but for the importance to these true stories.
Some people do not like their true crime being interrupted with presenters personal stories, chatter etc which I don't really understand as these guys are all clever, funny and interesting and they help you get through these sometimes horrific but necessary stories to hear. It's by far my ultimate favourite podcast and I have nothing bad to say about it and trust me that's something highly unusual for me! It's nice to have something humane in something sometimes so inhumane.
Keep it up and keep the episodes flowing!

Wow can’t believe it’s taken me so long to find your show. I for one am a fan of lighting up some very horrible subjects with a bit of comedy. I’m a massive podcast fan but there are only so many hours in a day so I have a couple that I listen every single week this is definitely going on the list. I’m a big big fan of small town murder and I would put you guys in the same bracket ( hope that’s ok to say) great work guys. Maybe look at Essex boys murder it’s got everything drugs, death, bent coppers, gangs, dodgy convictions and much much more. 5stars from the U.K

The blend between comedy and some very hard subjects
