Guthrie is well known for her 1986 anthem "Ain't Nothin' Goin' On but the Rent.” It was released in 1986 as the lead single from her fourth album Good to Go Lover. Hello! I'm Gail Nobles! Welcome to Multi-Tunes. Enjoy Yourself is a song released as a single in 1976 by the Jacksons. The song featured Michael and Jackie Jackson on lead vocals. The song peaked at number six on the US Billboard Hot 100 songs chart in 1977. On other US charts, it peaked at number two on the Hot Soul Singles chart and number 33 on the National Disco Action top 40 chart. In 1989, it became the group’s first single to be Certified Platinum by the RIAA in the US.

In the 70s listening to the song, if people had any worries, it wasn't that noticeable because in those days, I saw people that indeed enjoy themselves dancing when the song first came out. You didn't hear about many club shootings in the 70s. People were too busy dancing and having fun.

During the year of 1976 when the single Enjoy Yourself was released, major events include Jimmy Carter defeating incumbent president Gerald Ford in the presidential election of that year, and the Apple Computer company was founded that year by college dropouts Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak.

1976 was a good year for the song Enjoy Yourself. The single is credited to Philadelphia songwriters/producers Gamble and Huff.

    Intro: Gail Nobles

Today on Multi-Tunes .. gonna talk about Ollie and the Nightingales - I Got A Sure Thing.

Earlier in the show I talked about music in the 1960s. I mentioned the psychedelic songs, the peace songs, and love songs. Stax Records brought pSouthern soul and Memphis soul music with Ollie and the Nightingale. They released a number of singles according to Stack Records. But they're most successful was 1968’s "I Know I've Got a Sure Thing", a William Bell/Booker T. Jones composition which peaked at number 16 on the Billboard Black Singles chart.

In 1969, In 1969, the group released a long-playing album, Ollie & the Nightingales; "I Got a Sure Thing" was not included because Atlantic Records retained ownership of that single and all other pre-1968 Stax material after Stax severed its distribution deal with Atlantic.

Ali in the Nightingale were singing the song I've Got A Sure Thing with a lot of faith and confidence. The lead singer believe with happiness that he had a good woman. He said: I know I've got a sure thing.
