  • From “I Hate Men” to “Maybe I Need to Heal” | The Shift From Pain to Peace
    Mar 21 2026

⚠️ WARNING: please don’t be offended by what’s said in this episode… it’s NOT all men! I know there are good guys out there despite my own experiences 🤍

My FIRST ever video episode ft a very special guest… and I had to do it with someone who’s been part of my story for years Miss Dutches herself! 🥹✨

from working together at forever 21 in 2017… to now being the godmother to her child 🫶🏽
this friendship is one of those rare ones. we are VERY different, but somehow we always meet in the middle—and that’s what makes this conversation so special 🤍

in this episode, we got REAL about everything:
💭 why dating apps feel so superficial (and lowkey scary)
💔 my “i hate men” phase + why that mindset became exhausting
🧠 “exposure therapy” and what it looks like to open yourself back up
👨‍👧 healing from past relationships, especially with our parents
🕊 learning acceptance, letting go, and finding peace within ourselves
🍽 the things we turn to for comfort when we don’t want to sit with ourselves

this episode is honest, a little chaotic 😂, funny, and healing all at once.

if you’ve ever felt closed off, disappointed, or scared to try again…
this might meet you exactly where you are 🤍

and who knows… maybe you can relate 🫶🏽✨

‼️I know the quality isn’t the best this time around 😭 the lighting wasn’t great and I couldn’t shoot in 4K because my laptop wouldn’t have been able to handle it 💀

but I’m learning to work with what I have right now, and I’m still pretty proud of this episode 🤍

One day I’ll have a beautiful space to film in and a better setup for editing… but for now, this is part of the journey 🫶🏽

thank you for being patient with me and growing with me, it truly means everything ✨‼️

  • Healing Out Loud: A Man’s Journey to Therapy
    Mar 1 2026

Last year, Duke sent me this episode… and yes, some of the info is a little outdated because this man is now 30 😭💀 (we love growth, therapy, and new decades).

In this Episode, Duke opens up about starting therapy, navigating breakups, learning about boundaries, loyalty, reputation, and how stress shows up in the body when you don’t listen soon enough. He talks honestly about unlearning survival habits, people-pleasing, and the pressure to always be “the good guy.”

This episode is also a powerful reminder of how important it is to see Black men in therapy — choosing self-reflection, healing, and emotional accountability 🖤👏🏾

He also shares his thoughts on relationships, patience, dating in your 20s, and even references Season 2, Episode 6 with Nia & Saundra, reflecting on their conversation and how it landed for him — which makes this episode feel even more layered!

Make sure you’re following Duke and tapping into everything he’s building:

  • I Got the Job… So Why Do I Still Feel Lost? - Grateful, Employed, and Still Disappointed
    Feb 18 2026

    I got a new job.

    And I am so grateful.

But if I’m being honest… I still feel lost.

This episode is about employment, unemployment, and everything in between. The waiting. The rejection emails.Regretting my degree.Being in debt.Having no savings.Wanting benefits.Wanting stability.Wanting to feel proud of myself.

I talk about how uncomfortable it felt not working. How every day off didn’t feel like rest — it felt like laziness. I felt wotless. How I couldn’t even enjoy slowing down because I felt like I hadn’t “earned” it.How guilt followed me into my quiet moments.

And now that I have a job… I thought that feeling would disappear.

    It didn’t.

I keep saying in this episode, “I just want better for myself.”And I meant that in every way.

Better doesn’t always mean 'dream career'.Sometimes it just means security.Peace.Breathing room.A savings account.A job with benefits.A version of myself I don’t feel disappointed in.

If you’ve ever felt behind…If you’ve ever looked at your life and thought, “How did I end up here?”If you’ve ever felt guilty for resting while also feeling exhausted from trying…

    You are not alone.

    We are in this together.

And who knows… Maybe You Can Relate 🎧🤍
