Last week we had the pleasure of speaking to a journalism class at a local middle school. We were tasked with inspiring and guiding them through their first podcast episode. We were surprised to hear that their first episode was all about mental health in middle schoolers. We left feeling compelled to help them spread their message and remove some of the stigma from mental health. The question is what does having a seat at the table actually mean? In theory, it should mean that a person “at the table” is granted the same opportunities as everyone else to speak, listen and influence without retribution. So are you a part of the conversation or still seeking your seat?
