• Episode 9: Mounjaro, Wegovy and 24 Stone Gone
    Jun 25 2026

In this episode of Make Your Mark, I start with a check in on maintenance and what it feels like to hold my weight steady for over three months. This is something I have never properly managed before and it has taken a bit of getting used to after so long chasing weight loss every week.

I also talk through my plan to come off Mounjaro, why I have set Sunday the 30th of August as my final dose and why I am not currently planning to titrate down. This is not advice for anyone else, it is just the approach that feels right for me as I try to understand how much of this is now the habits I have built and how much support the medication is still giving me.

I also discuss a message I received about weight loss medications becoming more common and the concern that people who do not need them may start using them. I share my thoughts on the difference between misuse and proper medical access, and why better guidance and support matters.

This week I am joined by Holly, who has lost an incredible 13 stone. Holly used Wegovy as part of her journey but has also put serious work into training, fitness and changing her lifestyle. Her story is very similar to mine in so many ways and this was a really interesting conversation about weight loss medication, the gym, confidence and what life looks like after such a huge change.

I also finish the episode by talking about injection sites and why my stomach, which used to be my go-to area for Mounjaro, no longer feels effective for me.

  • Episode 8 - When to increase Mounjaro Dose?
    May 27 2026

In this week’s episode of Make Your Mark, I check in on where I’m at now that my weight has been holding steady for two months. After losing 100lbs on Mounjaro and 170lbs in total, maintaining my weight is something I’ve never properly achieved before, so this feels like a huge milestone.

I talk about why I’m staying on 15mg Mounjaro for the summer, how I’m using it to help me get through holidays, events and real life without being derailed, and why I plan to stop completely at the start of September to see how much I can manage on my own.

This week I’m also joined by Ben Welthy, my co-host from Over The Counter. Ben is now preparing for an amateur bodybuilding show towards the end of 2026, so we talk about training, eating to gain weight, body image, thin shaming and how fitness has become a major part of life after codeine addiction recovery.

I also talk about why I agree with the idea that GLP-1s are not simply fat loss drugs, but brain drugs, with fat loss being a side effect of the changes they create around hunger, food noise and behaviour.

A proper mix this week of maintenance, Mounjaro, recovery, bodybuilding and what comes next.

  • Episode 7 - Why the Mounjaro Hate?
    May 13 2026

Episode 7 of Make Your Mark is here.

This week Mark checks in on life after major weight loss, turning 48 and why maintaining weight can sometimes feel mentally harder than losing it.

He also opens up about the growing negativity and criticism he’s been receiving online since sharing his Mounjaro transformation and breaks down what’s really behind many of the comments people leave about GLP-1 medications.

Mark is then joined by Conor O’Conor from Operation Transformation who speaks openly about starting his own Mounjaro journey with Everwell, where his health is currently at and the mindset behind finally deciding to make a change.

After the interview Mark discusses the growing pressure on Ireland to fund medications like Mounjaro through the public health system as patients continue paying hundreds of euro per month privately. He breaks down why obesity treatment is changing rapidly, why access to GLP-1 medications is becoming such a major issue and why the conversation around obesity in Ireland is only beginning.

Mark also discusses Retatrutide, the new GLP-1 medication currently in trials, why people should approach it cautiously and why the future of obesity treatment could look very different over the next decade.

    Plus this week’s Top 5:

5 good replies to negative comments aimed at people using GLP-1 medications.

  • Episode 6 – Why Extreme Diets Always Fail
    Apr 24 2026

    Welcome back to Episode 6.

This one is a bit of a check-in, because a lot has changed since the last episode.

I’m officially in maintenance now. I’ve lost over 12 stone, and I actually got down to 14 stone 13… which is about 5 pounds past my original target. So now the focus shifts slightly. I’m not trying to lose more, I’m actually looking to bring things back up in a controlled way.

Training is as busy as ever, I’m in the gym consistently, and honestly I’ve never felt fitter or stronger. Body fat is sitting around 12 percent, which is something I never thought I’d be saying.

I’m still on 15mg of Mounjaro, but now it’s being used as a tool for maintenance rather than just weight loss. Calories are going up slightly as well. I’ve been eating around 2,750 and still losing, so I’m increasing that to 3,000 and seeing how my body responds.

So that’s where things are at right now.

In today’s episode, I want to get into a few important topics.

I’ll be talking about Mounjaro and what happens when your dose is too high, especially if you’re struggling to eat or even the thought of food is putting you off… because that’s something a lot of people are getting wrong.

I’m also going to cover why extreme diets fail, backed by research, and tie that into my own experience of losing 7 stone very quickly… and putting it all back on just as fast.

I’ll be joined by Oddie as well, who’s right at the start of his own journey. He’s taking a slightly different approach, focusing on building proper habits first before introducing medication, which I think is a very smart way to go about it. So it’ll be interesting to get his take on everything.

And to finish off, I’m starting something new for each episode… a Top 5. This week, it’s simple, practical ways to top up your protein without overcomplicating things.

So yeah, a lot to get through in this one.

    Let’s get into it.

  • Episode 5 - The Biggest Mounjaro Myth
    Feb 6 2026

Welcome back to Make Your Mark, the podcast where we cut through the noise and talk honestly about weight loss, health, and the stuff people don’t always say out loud.

This week, I’m kicking things off by diving into what I genuinely believe is the biggest Mounjaro myth going right now. It’s something I keep seeing and hearing, and I think it’s time we actually unpack it properly.

I then take a look at a widely shared article featuring Oprah Winfrey and her experience using weight loss medication. It’s been talked about everywhere, but I want to share my take on what she said and why I think it matters.

After that, I’m joined by this week’s guest, Paul. Paul has been on his own weight loss medication journey for some time and moved over to Wegovy four months ago. I can’t wait to hear how he’s been finding it, what’s surprised him, and what the reality has been like so far.

And to finish the episode, we listen to a video from Dr Richie Kirwan on Instagram, where he talks about the truth behind ultra processed food. I wasn’t expecting his take at all, but after listening, it completely clicked and gave me a lot to think about.

So let’s get into it. This is Episode 5 of Make Your Mark.

  • Episode 4 - The Mental Side of Weight Gain
    Jan 12 2026

In this episode of Make Your Mark, I focus on the often-ignored mental and emotional side of weight gain and obesity. I talk about why understanding the reasons behind long-term weight struggles matters for sustainable change, and why I have started working with a psychotherapist to address this.

I am also joined by Killian, who appeared on Operation Transformation over ten years ago and has successfully maintained his weight loss. We chat about what has worked for him, his love of running, and staying active long term.

I then share my thoughts on an Irish Times article on weight loss medication that I partly disagree with, followed by a discussion on hair loss and rapid weight loss, referencing a video by Dr Amir Khan.

This episode is about balance, mindset, and approaching weight loss in a way that supports both mental and physical health.

  • Episode 3 – Breaking the All or Nothing Mindset
    Jan 6 2026

Welcome to episode three of Make Your Mark.

This week, I’m starting by talking about my old all or nothing approach to dieting. How that mindset kept me stuck for years, and how it’s finally changed with the help of Mounjaro.

I’ll then be discussing recent news from Ireland, where the HSE has said that Mounjaro is not considered value for money and won’t be offered to people who need it. We’ll look at what that means, and the wider conversation around access to weight loss medication.

After that, I’m joined by Paul, who shares his weight loss journey online. He opens up about a particularly difficult experience he’s been through recently and how it’s affected him both mentally and physically.

And finally, I’ll be talking about an Instagram video that breaks down whether you should be doing cardio before or after weights, and what actually makes the most sense.

A great episode ahead. Let’s get started.

  • Episode 2 — Diets That Failed, Dangerous Shortcuts and the Truth About Mounjaro
    Nov 17 2025

Welcome to episode two of Make Your Mark.

This week, I’m talking about my experiences with different diets. What worked, what didn’t and why they all eventually led me to regain the weight.

I’ll also be discussing a recent article about a woman from the UK who sadly died after taking black-market weight loss medication, a really important reminder of the risks people take when they’re desperate to lose weight.

Then I’ll be joined by Gerard, who shares his weight loss journey with Mounjaroon social media. We’ll talk about his progress, challenges, and what keeps him motivated.

And finally, I’ll be talking about a video I came across about a nutrient that many people aren’t getting enough of while using weight loss medication and no, it’s not protein.
