For an autistic child, a tool that helps them regulate is as important as breathing apparatus for those struggling to breath. A child having a strong reaction to a tablet being removed is not trying to manipulate the parent. They are trying to cling to the only thing that makes them feel safe and balanced at that time.
Parents trust your instinct to know what your child is telling you. Behaviour is communication. Treat the need not the behaviour. Autistics adults can help
