Welcome to Krucial Konversations, the podcast where real people share real stories of struggle, resilience, and healing.

As a Transformational Life Coach, I believe that true wisdom doesn’t come from me – it comes from those who’ve lived through their own struggles and triumphs. This podcast is about giving those voices a platform and creating a space for open, honest dialogue around mental health, resilience, and growth.

In each episode, we’ll tackle the unfiltered truths of masculinity and the journeys that define us. My guests share their unique stories, from dealing with loss to finding new ways to heal, to inspire others who might be facing similar battles. This isn’t just a podcast – it’s a place to find connection, courage, and hope.

🎧 Tune in and join the conversation. Your story matters, and you’re not alone. Let’s keep it real, let’s keep it meaningful.

My Dad is a dreamer, a visionary, an innovator. Someone who saw beyond where he started and always imagined a life beyond his current situation. It never ends for him, he's in constant pursuit. Every time he gets close to the goal post, he moves it further. My siblings and I have always remarked that my Dad's favorite word is the word progress, which is defined as forward movement, advancement, or improvement toward a destination or goal. This describes my Dad to a Tee!

What you will hear is this episode is that the concepts of progress, ambition, or achievement are not a new phenomena for my Dad. It's an inclination he discovered within himself early in life and he continuously perfects how he pursues it.

During our time together we talk about growing up in the countryside of Trinidad, how he met my mom, his relocation to the US and the difficulty they found in assimilating to a new culture. We also discuss his transition to full-time ministry and the convictions that accompanied it.

As a son, I look at my Dad as the 80-year old man with a lifetime of accolades and wisdom. But he still sees himself as the young man from Trinidad full of energy and ideas with all the time in the world to bring them to fruition. Maybe we are both right.
