  • Sky TV's adaptation of HOGFATHER
    Jan 5 2026

    "APPLE SAUCE!"

Two Belfast-based writers lap up Terry Pratchett's Hogfather (2006), adapted by Vadim Jean and The Mob for Sky TV. Andy delights in his first viewings with his best Death impersonations while PJ skilfully dissects it as a tutor in visual storytelling. We get into the set design, SFX, and a great led by Ian Richardson, Michelle Dockery, Marc Warren and David Jason. It's a pod-vod full of edutainment. For video extras check the episode out on YouTube or Spotify Video.

  • Book 28: The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents
    Dec 13 2025

    "Transgressive children's literature" - Andy

"That's your Carnegie Medal right there" - PJ

Andy and PJ both have their first go-around with this book, chasing after Maurice, Darktan and the clan to figure out the themes, the mysteries and how the Rat King would work as an X-Men villain.

Andy talks life as an owner of three dozen gerbils, and which of them have names inspired by Pratchett, and this book in particular. Take a look at the gerbils on the YouTube and Spotify video variants.

I am not a university challenge level discworld bore. I have never been to a pratchett fan site or participated in said past times.
Discworld is however a close companion that along with hitchhikers had a dramatic and lasting effect on my brain.
This podcast is almost exactly the conversation I have had repeatedly over the years with any poor unsuspecting person that gets separated from the group in a pub. This exact conversation is why I have never had the complete set of books.
I have listened to many podcasts I like, love or identify with, but never one I have wanted to join in with so much. Thanks chaps.

Thank you!
