  • Global Healing Response: Rooted in Resilience
    Jul 2 2026
As we enter the second half of the year, Global Healing Response turns its attention to the theme of resilience, the intentional capacity to stay grounded, endure, adapt, and grow amid personal and collective crises. We get to the bottom of what this means and how we might strengthen our capacity to stay resilient in these challenging times. And as always, we suggest where to focus our intentions and prayers. Intentions and prayers start at 24 minutes 40 seconds. Suggested Intention Focus for this week This week, as we reflect on the Global Healing Response theme of resilience for this quarter, we suggest holding as our main intention: We will that we will build resilience by meeting challenges with steadiness, care, and the willingness to rest as needed. • Philanthropy Starts at Home: Small Acts, Big Impact
    Jul 9 2026
Philanthropy may suggest a need to be wealthy, but this is far from true. In this week’s episode we explore what the concept really means, how it differs from charity, and how it relates to intention holding. We’ll hear some heart-warming stories and come to understand why all the world’s great religions have philanthropy at their core. We’ll see that science proves that it pays to be nice. And we’ll see how philanthropy as a practice can be rooted in household relationships and everyday acts of generosity that preserve dignity and empowers others. Intentions and prayers start at 30 minutes 10 seconds. Suggested Intention Focus for this week This week, as we reflect on the role of philanthropy in our societies and in our own lives, we suggest holding as our main intention: We ask that we will have generous hearts, being guided by the Golden Rule of loving our neighbour to give authentically. • Back with a Vengeance: The New El Niño may be the Strongest Yet
    Jun 25 2026
El Niño returned with a vengeance this month, with some experts warning that it could be the strongest yet. Millions face the threat of fire, floods and drought in the months to come. Join us for an El Niño 101 as we understand what this natural phenomenon is, why it matters, and how human-created global warming are amplifying its effects. We ask why the 2026 event could be especially strong, and how it reshapes weather, ecosystems, and human livelihoods across the globe, with real-world examples of drought, flooding, and food insecurity. As always, we invite you to join us in focusing intentions and prayers. Intentions and prayers start at 17 minutes 9 seconds. Suggested Intention Focus for this week This week, as we reflect on the onset of the latest El Niño cycle and its impacts on life, we suggest holding as our main intention: We will that governments, aid agencies, local communities, emergency services and water providers will be mindful of the imminent threats presented by the new El Niño cycle, and have wisdom to know where they may take preventive action to minimize its effects. • Pride Month: Progress, Parties and Prayer
    Jun 18 2026
With Pride Month now in full swing, in this week’s Impact! we celebrate the many positive stories of progress toward tolerance and equality for LGBTQ+ people in many countries, while acknowledging the rollbacks being faced by others. We ask what is pride, as Clive explains why it’s become especially important and meaningful for him. And as always, we take a look at where we might hone in with our intentions and prayers. Intentions and prayers start at 27 minutes 19 seconds. Suggested Intention Focus for this week This week, as we mark Pride Month, we suggest holding as our main intention: We give thanks for the many recent examples of progress and resistance to rollbacks against LGBTQ+ people’s rights, and will that these will serve to motivate continued movement toward full equality and acceptance of non-binary people in all societies. • Remigration Rising: When Deportation Moves from Ethics to Ethnic Bias
    Jun 11 2026
Remigration, the policy of deporting individuals based on their assessed right to live in a country, is increasingly being framed in the rhetoric of populist parties in Europe and North America. For some, it can be taken as a code word for targeting people based on ethnicity who aren’t seen by those detaining and deporting them as fitting their view of what is to be a fellow citizen based on race or appearance. A number of those who maintain this view subscribe to the “Great Replacement” theory, that suggests white populations in some populations are being deliberately targeted by immigration aimed at replacing them. Calls for remigration are increasingly being heard in the public space, while much of what is happening behind closed doors, some potentially influenced or funded by governments, remains unknown beyond occasional reports that hint at policies that come close to crossing the line of “normal” migration controls. In this episode, we take a look at this disturbing possibility, as always turning to see where our prayers and intentions may be needed. Suggested Intention Focus for this week This week, as we reflect on the disturbing rise in support for remigration in the US and Europe, we suggest holding as our main intention: We will that the voices of far-right advocates in support of remigration will be balanced by clear warnings to people to recognize and resist its potential shaping of mainstream political policy, eroding of asylum protections, and expanding the space for governments to favor mass deportation over considerate and dignified treatment of all people, including those seeking asylum. Please join us in holding this. Intentions and prayers start at 31 minutes 02 seconds. • Across the Pond: What Americans Really Think About Britain
    Jun 4 2026

Following our look at Brits’ perceptions of life Stateside last week, in this episode Ellen puts Clive on the spot to find out if common American views of the Brits really stack up in practice. We get behind the myths and the mysteries, and uncover some surprising truths. Do we really get lost in the great trans-Atlantic divide, or do we have more in common than we realize? Fasten your seat-belts as, 10 years on from the Brexit referendum, we take a look at everything from what on earth goes on inside the British Parliament, to whether Britain is actually a country, and what’s this crazy thing about lawyers wearing wigs? All this and much more in this week’s Impact!

You can listen to our episode last week, What we really think about each other: Part 1–Brit Takes on Americans at https://www.podbean.com/ew/pb-3mv68-1ad3ebe

Suggested Intention Focus for this week

This week, as we’ve reflected on American perceptions of the British, we suggest holding as our main intention:

We will that all Americans whose views of their allies may be biased by news, social media and social group misconceptions, will seek to understand the truth of what really happens across the pond, and especially where such conceptions offer a negative or potentially harmful “othering” of Britons and Europeans.
