About this listen
My body has a very clear communication style.
It gets sick.
Getting sick is supposed to mean rest.
In my case, it usually means guilt, overthinking
and answering emails with a fever. In this episode I talk about being “sick too often,”
about growing up with the belief that illness is weakness,
and about the uncomfortable truth that sometimes
I enjoyed being sick — because at least then I was allowed to stop. We’re talking fake strength, real migraines,
working through pain,
and the strange relief of having a socially acceptable excuse
to lie down and do nothing. No tips.
No healing arc.
Just a story about a body that kept saying “enough”
until I finally started listening. If your immune system feels smarter than your calendar —
this one’s for you.
It can happen.
Sounds familiar?
