In this episode of Roots 2 Realities, we get into the real work of navigating Haitian culture and American identity, especially when it comes to parenting, discipline, work ethic, and the values we’re passing down.

We talk about what it’s actually like raising kids in a bicultural household where respect is expected, presentation matters, and discipline looks very different depending on how you were raised. We reflect on how our upbringing shaped how we communicate, how we work, and how we show up professionally. We even admit that some of those lessons still live with us today.

From evolving parenting styles and cultural traditions we’re holding on to, to representation, personal branding, and teaching our kids how to handle both wins and losses, this conversation is honest, reflective, and sometimes funny because… that’s real life. We also touch on long-term goals, retirement dreams, and what it means to build something sustainable without losing yourself in the process.

If you’ve ever felt caught between two cultures, questioned how much of your upbringing to pass on, or tried to honor your roots while doing things a little differently you’ll feel right at home here.

    Culture. Legacy. Real Talk.
