Paulet also gives you a first-hand description of how to apply and what to expect, and why she chose ProEMS for herself, her family, and her future.

    What began as a t-shirt during a weather forecast, Mija Yes You Can grew into a movement all over El Paso.
    .
    Founded by Lily Lopez during 2020, (yes, smack dab during Covid), Mija Yes You Can was created to empower women and help give them the tools to succeed. Whether it's workshops for high school graduates to learn soft skills like writing professional emails, or handing out clothes to dress for success, Mija Yes You Can has made an impact all over the Sun City.

    Amber Banda interviews Diana Meraz, President of Mija Yes You Can. They talk more in-depth about the workshops and events that have happened throughout the year, upcoming events for the community, and much more.

    Have you ever seen cars on the side of the road marked with an "H" in a circle? Those cars have been marked by the TX DOT HERO Program, a FREE roadside assistance program.
    .
    Amber Banda interviews Lauren Macias-Cervantes, TX DOT Public Information Officer, and Martin Morales, HERO Program Manager and former law enforcement. They talk about what type of roadside assistance is offered FREE of charge to stranded drivers, including help changing your tires, putting air in tires, drinking water, battery charges, and help towing your vehicle to the nearest safe place or help with moving drivers off of dangerous areas.
    .
    The TX DOT HERO Program also helps law enforcement with clearing incidents on major highways and severe weather responses. Remember, when you see an accident or someone on the shoulder, MOVE OVER OR SLOW DOWN, it's the law.

    If you need roadside assistance, or see someone who needs it, be a good neighbor and call 915-790-HERO (4376), or call the number on the back of your driver's license. Parents, have your teenager save this number in their phone!

Learn about their mission and how they are intergrated not only in the biker community with the El Paso Motorcycle Coalition but community organizations as well.

    Amber Banda interviews Jill Brewster, Development Manager for the Young Women's Preparatory Network (YWPN) in El Paso, TX!

    The YWPN is a statewide non-profit that supports 12 schools, including 2 here in El Paso; The Young Women's Leadership Academy in the Ysleta School District, and the Young Women's STEAM Academy in the El Paso Independent School District.
    .
    Both schools are FREE college prepatory public schools for young ladies age 6-12. Students enjoy one-of-a-kind experiences with focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics and you do not have to be in the YISD or EPISD to attend!
    .
