About this listen
In this week's episode we looked at how Solomon displayed humility when he asked the Lord for wisdom to govern the people, instead of asking for selfish gains. Because of Solomon's selflessness, the Lord blessed him with things he didn't even ask for.
We also highlighted the importance of self-care in relation to humility. In that, though humility is not self-seeking, it is also not self- abandonment or self-deprivation.
Many people have displayed pride in an effort to prove that they are humble. This is because false humility is seen as pride. Whenever we deny ourselves of walking into the spaces and places that God has called us to walk in, under the guise of 'humility', this is considered disobedience and Pride.
Contrary to the beliefs of others humility is not putting down yourself so that others can walk over you. It is not running around burnt out because we don't want to say no. Humility takes in consideration the fact that if an individual is not healthy mentally, emotionally and physically, then they are not in a position to help others. Psychologists say, " you cannot pour from an empty cup."
As you listen in I pray that this episode is a blessing to you, and if it is, feel free to follow, like and share the podcast with your family and friends. Until next time, this is the Polymath Podcast with Ms Neisha I'll see you on the other side.
