  • HTGAWM Season 1 Final Thoughts (w/ Katie Findlay)
    Jun 25 2026

Katie Findlay is back for Part 2 of the Season 1 finale, where the conversation moves beyond Rebecca's shocking exit and into what it was actually like filming those final episodes. Katie reflects on rewatching her performance years later, seeing a young actor processing the loss of a character and creative family in real time, while Jack and Matt share their own memories of the uncertainty, anxiety, and emotional highs and lows that came with making network television. Along the way, they revisit fan theories, debate what they can (and definitely can't) remember about Season 2, and uncover how much of Rebecca's story was influenced by what was happening behind the scenes.

After saying goodbye to Katie, Jack and Matt take a moment to reflect on the journey of revisiting Season 1 together for the podcast. They share what it was like for Jack to watch the show for the first time, how their memories resurfaced through the process, and why the experience gave them a newfound appreciation for the cast, the fans, and the cultural moment that How to Get Away With Murder created.

That's officially a wrap on Season 1 of the How We Got Away With Murder podcast! THANK YOU to everyone who joined in on this journey through Season 1 of How to Get Away With Murder. We’re incredibly grateful for all of your questions, theories, memories, and support along the way.

  • 115: It’s All My Fault (w/ Katie Findlay)
    Jun 25 2026

Katie Findlay is back, jet lagged from Italy and still saying ciao like they never left, to help recap the Season 1 finale, and it's a banger. Loyalties get tested, paranoia peaks, and the truth behind Lila's murder is finally revealed (at least to the audience). Annalise puts Rebecca on trial and then comforts Wes with a creepy chant, and through it all, we still have no idea what “Eggs 911” could possibly mean. The Lila flashbacks appear in full force: Lila dangling her feet off a roof, Griffin's confusing relationship to celibacy, and the moment the killer decides Lila is going to die.

Katie reflects on rewatching a Rebecca they barely recognize anymore, crying through their final scene with Alfie knowing it was the last one they'd film, and the "white queer reckoning" moment that came with watching the show back. We get to see Asher and Bonnie in bed with incredible lighting, Michaela holding her own in a tense scene with Aiden's mom, and find out why both Katie and Rebecca ride for Bonnie Winterbottom. The episode ends with a gut punch that had Matt in tears. Plus, Jack's panic after texting the wrong Billy about the show, why his League of Legends gamer tag was "Kill Connor," a Reddit theory about three versions of Lila's death getting debunked, a full look back at Season 1, and the question everyone keeps asking...could the show ever come back?

This is part one of a two-part finale; go listen to part two to hear our final thoughts on Season 1 of How To Get Away with Murder!

  • 114: The Night Lila Died
    Jun 18 2026

Nine Tony nominations for Death of a Salesman, Matt caught Purity Ring in Florida, and the season one finale is officially only one episode away! Episode 14 is, by their own assessment... tense: a priest who won't break the sacrament of confession to save himself, Rebecca duct taped to a chair, and Nate getting jumped in his cell. A lot.

Wes and Laurel visit Rudi at the psych ward and the Rudi/Rebecca plotline starts clicking into place with a ton of heavy lifting from Alfie that pays off beautifully. The flashbacks fill in the gaps on Lila, Rebecca, and the frat house, including some PCP which is totally normal. Meanwhile Annalise tells the priest no god should forgive her and she won't confess to her sins, and Connor gets his HIV results back with Asher waiting in the wings for the fist bump. Matt and Jack get into Jack's semi-controversial take that Annalise is not actually a good lawyer, the Reddit HTGAWM x Scooby Doo crossover (Asher was Scooby, obviously), the church murder scene that looks like a video game, and whether Annalise would even care about Bon Bon and Douche Face getting their flirt on. Plus, Matt might have an Irish dance coming up on the show. Stay tuned for that.
