Hidden Men – Episode 1

Hidden Men is an original radio drama written by Malcolm J Hogan, exploring the unseen lives of male carers with warmth, humour and honesty.

Set around a small local support group, this episode introduces men at different stages of caring — husbands, sons and friends — each quietly carrying responsibility, exhaustion and isolation. As they begin to share space and stories, moments of humour and tension sit alongside deeper truths about care, masculinity and connection.

The drama features performances from Alan Fletcher, Toby Foster, Matthew James Morrison, Ryan Mulvey and Scott Wright, with sound design and music by William Price, whose work shapes the emotional tone of the piece.

Hidden Men is produced as part of the Hidden Men CIC project, which supports male carers’ mental health, wellbeing and practical support through creative engagement.
